These two dudes were back and despite two major cold fronts were in the muskie game!
We went from scorching hot, humid, still days to a major drop in temps and big winds. We had to fire up the wood stove in the dining room in August….crazy! Water temps are dropping fast. With a little stable weather the big girls will be out to play…

These guys are not to be messed with in the real world as we cannot say what they do….high security clearance dudes…
They do know what they are doing in a fishing boat and they had a blast targeting all the types of fish on Rowan Lake and a couple of portage lakes nearby!

A lot of people think we are a hard-core MUSKIE camp! Well, we are, but we also cater to all fishing groups. We certainly enjoy our family and youth groups that come to Nielsen’s Fly-In Lodge and have started traditions that are making memories!

The current heat wave has everything cooking and so is the muskie fishing. Lot’s of fish showing up. The big girls recently seemed to be relating to rock structure but since the heat moved in they have settled more into the weeds.
We are looking for some relief to blow out some of the heat and humidity….sounds like this next week will be a whole lot more comfortable on the water.
